My travel: From Atacama (Chile) i took and excursion of 3 days to Uyuni (Bolivia). Here i saw the biggest salt flat in the world. After i went to Potosi, important mine place in Bolivia and Tarabuco, tipical village in Bolivia. Informations: Salar de Uyuni is with its 10,582 km˛ is the world's largest salt flat. It is located in the west Departmento of Potosí and of south of Oruro in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes, 3650 meters high.Salar de Uyuni is estimated to contain 10 billion tons of salt of which less than 25,000 tons is extracted annually. |
